What EtsyPilot does

EtsyPilot is a Chrome extension that helps Etsy sellers with keyword research, listing optimization, and shop analytics.

What data we collect

EtsyPilot processes the following data, only when you actively use a feature:

• Keywords you type — sent to our backend to fetch Etsy autocomplete suggestions, Google Trends data, and an AI-generated opportunity report.
• Listing text you paste (title, description, tags) — sent to our backend to generate an AI-optimized version.
• Publicly visible Etsy page data (listing titles, prices, review summaries) — read directly from the Etsy page you are viewing, to power the Shop Scanner and Review Insights features.

What we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your Etsy login credentials, account details, or private seller data.
• We do not track your browsing activity outside of Etsy.com.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.

Where data is processed

Keyword and listing data is sent to our backend (hosted on Vercel), which forwards requests to Google Trends (via SerpAPI) and Groq's AI API to generate reports. These providers process the data solely to return results to you and are not used to build advertising profiles.

Local storage

Your search history is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. It is not sent to any server and stays on your device unless you clear it from the extension's History tab.
